As confirmed by Facebook last week on Friday 13th March 2020, they are currently testing a new rewards program through which a user will be able to see all the reward points which he/she has collected while shopping from the brands. As of now, Sephora is one of the brands which is part of the initial test. Facebook will be piloting this project this week in the United States as spotted by the MarketingLand displayed how the program works.

The Facebook users will need to link their brands' loyalty accounts with their Facebook rewards program account, in order to gain the points in this case Sephora. Once the accounts are linked the brand will be able to show personalized offers to the users through the Facebook app. While this is an attempt by Facebook to enter the eCommerce market, the best part is that this is also the first attempt towards making their ad products more loyalty focused as well.
Through the Facebook rewards program, the brands will not only be able to share personalized offers to their existing customers but this will also give them a chance to get in touch with the customer who has shopped from the brands in the past. This will be a great opportunity for the brands to get in touch with their Target audience again and start fresh.

Currently, Facebook has not mentioned any date for the launch or rolling out the program. In order to start checking on the points, the user will need to agree to all the terms and conditions of the program I would recommend checking on the data you share with the program considering the events about data handling in the past.
